Lubbock's 100 Year Anniversary!!!
On March 16, 1909, Lubbock officially became an incorporated community and the celebration of being a new town began.  Soon, it became the center for commerce, medicine, education, and entertainment for all of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico.  Now, Lubbock residents are planning for a year-long Centennial Celebration beginning in March 2008, and culminating with a party and Lubbock legends concert in March 2009.

Lubbock is a very young city compared to most municipalities, but our legacy ranges from the prehistoric, to the Spanish conquistadors searching for the Lost Cities of God, to the roots of rock-and-roll.  Opportunities abound for all our citizens willing to work hard for the promises of prosperity.

To participate in these exciting events, visit www.lubbock100.com.

The Lubbock Housing Market is Still Going!According to the Texas Real Estate Center, the median price of homes sold in Texas within the past three months is $125,474.  This establishment also states that the median price of homes sold specifically in Lubbock is $102,000!  This means that you can get a home at a great deal!  In Lubbock we have beautiful homes in perfect neighborhoods at affordable prices.  Your dollar will go further in the Lubbock housing market than in other Texas communities.  Despite the downturn in the real estate market throughout the United State, the market in Lubbock is thriving!  Don't wait to buy a new home!

Teacher Bond Program
