"Green" homes
October 3rd, 2007 3:34 PM

Across the nation, consumers are becoming more and more concerned with the environment.  Now home-builders have caught on to the movement towards protecting our earth.

Homes today can receive certificates for "eco-friendliness" according to Kate Goodloe in her article entitled "See how 'green' a home really is."

To receive an eco-friendly certification, your home will be evaluated on location, water use, energy efficiency, use of matierials, and overall environmental impact.

If you are buying a home in Lubbock, don't settle on a home that is not "green."  Even the smallest feature of your property can save lots of energy.
